ROOT CAUSE OF FAILURE IN LIFE

Failure is the opposite of success and can destroy some peoples lives depending on
what they have failed at.

In order to overcome failure, which is totally normal to experience in life,
you have to understand why you failed so the next time you will be successful!

1. CONTRADICTING GOD'S WILL ( Genesis 11:3-
Whenever you do something that is contrary to God's will in your life, it will not succeed.
As your earthly dad knows what is best for you better then you know yourself, he made you,
and like a loving father sometimes no matter what we think or want dad has to stand his
grounds on what is best.
Sometimes it even means discipline for our rebellion.

2. DISOBEDIENCE ( Numbers 14:40-45)
Whenever you do something that you know is wrong, umbilical, or you are not even
sure of and just do it then you are in sin.
Sin separates us from the presence of God, and when we are not in God's presence
we are open territory for Satan.
Satan is sitting back waiting for us to slip and fall so he can make us feel like
failures. He wants to have his way with us, disobedience gives him a doorway.

3. SIN ( Joshua 7:3-12)
Achan's sin not only hurt himself but a whole nation.
Sin can cause us failure and and other people to fail also.
We are at spiritual war here on earth and unfortunately as with real war, sometimes
there are casualties of war.
Sin and disobedience are similar but they are different in the fact that sometimes we can sin
unintentionally and the Holy Spirit will one way or another convict us, but with disobedience
you know all the ground rules and choose to disobey them.

4. LACK OF PRAYER ( Matthew 17:15-20/Mark 9:24-29)
Sometimes we are depleted on faith and the reason is lack of a prayer life.
Jesus's own disciples were human like us and had moments where they were
caught off guard spiritually by a lack of faith and Satan got one in on them.
Jesus solutions to the miraculous was "Faith", faith is manifested and strengthened
through intimacy with God- intimacy comes through a prayer life.
Lack of a prayer life can cause Satan to win.

5. NOT COUNTING UP ALL THE COSTS ( Luke 14:28-32)
Jesus himself told us DO NOT begin something without counting up all the costs.
That can morally apply to anything.
( vs 29) He even says if you don't people will laugh at your failures.
When we do not weigh all our options and pray, and wait on God's response,
we will fail!

6. BELIEF ( Hebrews 4:6)
The chosen people were the Jews who failed to recognize that Jesus was the prophesied Messiah,
and son of God. Their unbelief became their failure.
Them doing that opened the door for non Jews to be en graphed into the salvation plan through their faith.
Now anyone can believe and be saved, unbelief in Jesus is the root of ALL failures!

WITHOUT KNOWLEDGE OF THE DEATH, BURIAL, AND RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST
AND BELIEF AND HOPE ONE DAY HE WILL RETURN FOR US, THEN YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF GOD'S
WILL. GODS WILL FOR ALL MAN TO BE Saved AND BELIEVE THAT IS WHY HE POST PONES
THE DAY OF JUDGMENT BUT NOT ALL MEN WILL COME TO HIM, THAT IS THE ULTIMATE
FAILURE FOR THEM!
