Christianity is not just a name for those who follow Christ, it is a way of life.
This study will attempt to help you understand the basics of Christianity
so that you can better understand yourself, or better decide if that is what
you want to become.
GOD'S WISH IS FOR ALL TO BE SAVED!

1. CHRISTIANITY IS FOUNDED ON CHRIST ( 1 Cor 13:10-12)

A. We have a full understanding of Christ when we hear his word and obey it
B. Jesus makes us perfect and complete
C. Jesus=Love, he endures forever
D. Faith= Belief in God's message about Jesus ( the Gospel)
E. Hope= Christian attitude, we live looking forward to being reunited with Jesus one day

2. CHRISTIANITY IS BASED ON DOCTRINE ( 1 Cor 15:1-4)

A. Christian Doctrine is also called THE GOSPEL, or GOOD NEWS.
It is the message of Christ's death, burial, and resurrection- and one day return
for his faithfuls. Its that simple, a message of hope and freedom, not religious
hula hoops and tricks...

3. CHRISTIANITY IS DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE ( Matt 28:18-20)

A. Jesus gave us the authority to preach the good news to everyone
B. Jesus wants us to make disciples of all nations
C. God's hope is for all men to be saved, that doesn't mean they will all want to,
it just means we are to make every effort to complete our assignment

4. CHRISTIANITY IS BASED ON SALVATION IN CHRIST ( Acts 4:12)

A. There is salvation no other way, or in any man, only in JESUS
B. God has placed Jesus name above all other names - he is the truth the way and the light
C. The church did not choose Jesus Christ and his doctrine, he chose the church and
taught them what to believe in ( John 15:16)
D. God ordained Jesus to be the savior of the world

5. CHRISTIANITY BRINGS CHANGE ( 1 Cor 6:11)

A. Christians have been cleansed of their old ways, and made HOLY
B. Christians were made right with God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit
C. Our sins are washed away, you get a clean slate once you become a christian
D. We are sanctified ( set apart) once we become christian so we do not look and act liek the world
E. We can stand before God with Jesus as our attorney once we were christian-
and he has never lost a case!
